Public meeting on regenerating Croydon town centre

I'll be hosting a public meeting to discuss plans to regenerate central Croydon on Wednesday 20th November from 8pm in Bernard Weatherill House, the new Council HQ.

The last public meeting I held on regeneration was on 12th July 2012, well over a year later it feels right to revisit the subject to see what's happened in the meantime. You can see that first meeting's slides here.

This meeting will update everyone on the masterplans that the Council is drawing up for particular parts of the town centre (e.g. West Croydon, Old Town, East Croydon) and the latest applications (e.g. the Royal Mail’s plans for its site next to East Croydon station). And in particular I will be focusing on Westfield and Hammerson’s plans to redevelop the Whitgift Centre, which should be going to Planning Committee in late November.

The meeting is open to all who are interested.
