An evening with some Lions legends
19/11/2009 09:26:00

Last night, I was invited to attend a dinner at Trinity School (where I am Chairman of the Governors) in aid of Rose's Gift, which raises money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, Children With Leukaemia and Momentum.

The event was hosted by Kyran Bracken (who, much to his amusement, despite being a World Cup winner and Lions player, was described on the invitation as the winner of ITV's Dancing on Ice - says a lot about society today).

I was lucky enough to be on the same table as one of the two star guests Ian McGeechan. He is a true Lions legend but a more modest man you could not hope to meet.

The other guest was Will Greenwood, who is clearly a frustrated stand-up comic! A fantastic evening.
