Boris defends my honour

Boris was in Croydon today visiting the Croydon Judo Club and then doing a quick walkabout in Surrey Street, Crown Hill and George Street ending at the Croydon Visitor Centre. As usual, he got a great response from passers-by.

As we were leaving the Visitor Centre, we bumped into a couple of my old teachers. I introduced them to Boris and he enquired as to whether I had been a diligent student. When they made some rather unflattering remarks, he expressed surprise and kindly said that I was a huge asset to the Conservative Party. To which, my former chemistry teacher replied, “He’s huge all right but I can’t believe he is an asset…”.
