Charity walk raises over £4,000
10/09/2012 16:56:00

A huge thank you to the 50 or so people, mainly Project Change volunteers, who joined me on the sponsored walk yesterday and to everyone who has sponsored us to date. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and 36 of us did the full 18 or so miles.

To date, we have raised over £4,000 for four great local charities:

1. Nightwatch - a charity that supports people sleeping rough on the streets of Croydon and others in acute housing need;

2. Mind in Croydon - a local charity supporting people with mental health conditions;

3. Age UK Croydon - a local charity supporting elderly people in the borough; and

4. Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation - who help build young people’s confidence by training them in acting, singing, dancing, writing and behind-the-scenes theatre work.

We were joined by three pupils from Harris Crystal Palace, who had heard about what we were doing and decided to join us to raise money for a fifth charity Catch 22.

If you haven't donated yet, it's not too late!
