Know a group that is interested in taking over the management of Stanley Halls?
14/08/2012 15:04:00

Just outside my constituency is Stanley Halls, a building at the heart of South Norwood and right next to the Harris Academy.

To their credit, Croydon Council is offering voluntary and community groups the opportunity to take over management of it. Personally I'd like to see more Council assets handed over to local community groups.

You can read more about Stanley Halls, what the Council is looking for and how the community asset management process work all on the Council’s website.

If your group is interested in putting forward a bid then you need to download and fill in the community transfer application form online.

You must email the completed form with an outline business case to Steve Wingrave (thirdsector@croydon.gov.uk) by 5pm on Monday 20 August 2012.

A shortlist of candidate groups will be released by Thursday 20 September 2012 and then must submit detailed business cases by Monday 26 November 2012.

The Council will announce the final decision by Christmas 2012 and the new management will take over by the end of March 2013
