Boris promises to extend Freedom Pass to anyone over 60
24/02/2012 06:47:00

Great to hear Boris Johnson promise yesterday that if he is re-elected he will extend the Freedom Pass to any Londoner over the age of 60.

He has already delivered on his promise to make the Pass valid 24 hours a day and to offer it to all war veterans. According to the latest population projections, this would benefit nearly 20,000 Croydoners over the next four years.

Why should people get free travel just because they are over 60?

It's not really free - because others have to pay for it.
