A big thank you
29/01/2012 21:51:00

A big thank you to everyone who turned up to help clean up College Green yesterday.

It was the biggest turnout we have ever had for one of these clean ups and as a result we were able to cover not just College Green but the beds along that section of Wellesley Road and the western end of Barclay Road.

In the medium term, the Council is planning to redevelop this area - and it is important that they involve Croydon College students in those plans because the best way to keep this public space clean is for those who use it to feel a sense of ownership of it - but in the short term I have asked them to install some bins and replace the damaged paving stones.
