A week I won't forget in a hurry
30/09/2011 07:16:00

I have spent most of this week work shadowing at Redgates, a primary school for Croydon children with severe learning difficulties.

The school used to be based on the Purley Way but a few years ago the Council refurbished the old Gilbert Scott Infant School building at the bottom of Gravel Hill to provide a more suitable environment and additional places.

It’s an over-used word but it has been nothing short of inspirational to see first hand the work staff do to help pupils communicate and develop their skills and a privilege to spend time with the pupils themselves and meet some of their parents. Overall, a week I won’t forget in a hurry.
