Another year, another sponsored walk complete.
A big thank you to everyone who joined me along the way, particularly to those who did the whole distance (John "you don't have to be a loony but it helps" Cartwright, whose singing of various national anthems towards the end was little short of inspirational; Mario Creatura, who impressed everyone with an app on his phone that measured the exact distance we had walked but then sufferred the embarrassment of his phone battery dying; Adam Kellett, who was a stickler for a route that stayed as close as possible to the Parliamentary boundary; Jayne Laville, whose dog handling skills were...well you had to be there; and Ann McKenzie, for being a mother-in-law you're quite happy to go for an 18-mile walk with). Thanks also to the ice cream man who came along just as morale was flagging and to the weather for being kind.
We've raised just short of £2,000 for Croydon Crossroads, a great local charity. If you would like to sponsor me, you can do so here.
