Improvements to East Croydon station
09/09/2011 08:03:00

After the meeting with the London Ambulance Service, I met with Network Rail to hear about their and Croydon Council’s plans to improve East Croydon station, both by installing another entrance at the other end of the platforms with lift access (the current ramps are a nightmare for the frail and disabled) and by making improvements to the existing ticket hall. Work is due to get underway shortly and will be completed in 2013 - good news for the thousands of constituents who currently have to put up with the current wholly inadequate ticket hall.

It was also good to hear that in the medium term they hope to further enlarge the ticket hall when they add to more platforms to the station.
