Boris announces £50 million fund for outer London
28/03/2011 19:07:00

The Mayor of London has today announced a £50 million fund to regenerate outer London town centres. The fund will specifically target those boroughs, like Croydon, which benefit less from the 2012 Olympics and Crossrail. It's great to see such a clear contrast between Boris and the zone 1 approach of the previous Mayor.

Yes, but that £50 million doesn't come from Boris, it comes from us!

It would be better if this money wasn't taken from taxpayers in the first place, be they in Croydon or anywhere else.
