Christmas & New Year refuse and recycling collection arrangements
21/12/2010 16:30:00

There shouldn’t be any changes to refuse and recycling collection days over the Christmas & New Year festive period and the Council’s three Reuse & Recycling Centres at Fishers Farm, Factory Lane and Purley Oaks will only be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

However, the current bad weather has disrupted collections this week and with more snow forecast for this evening that disruption may continue. I have contacted Council officers who ask that we put our wheelie bins and recycling boxes out on the usual day but leave them out if they are not collected because the contractor will be doing their best to catch up any missed collections. They have also asked me to pass on their thanks for people’s patience and understanding during these challenging conditions.
