Opening Addington Heights Resource Centre
01/10/2010 23:10:00

This morning, I formally opened Addington Heights Resource Centre in New Addington, the third of four brand new facilities for older people in the borough.

The centre includes a state of the art 50-bed residential home with en-suite bathrooms, social and recreational facilities, sensory gardens and medical and therapeutic facilities; a 24-place day centre; and a 12-place specialist day care unit providing essential facilities for older physically frail people living in the local community.

It’s great to see Croydon Council investing in New Addington in this way. How we treat elderly people who have spent their lives working for this country is one of the tests of a civilised society.
