Spent the day delivering leaflets near East Croydon, on the Whitgift estate and off The Glade plus handing some out on Lower Addiscombe Road and at Blackhorse Lane tramstop.
The main story in the media today seems to be about whether our plans to stop Labour's proposed jobs tax are affordable. Listening to the news tonight, I found Gordon Brown and Nick Clegg's argument bizarre. As I understand it, David Cameron is planning to save £1 in every £100 that the government spends. Labour and the Liberal Democrats say that this is not possible. But many families and businesses have had to make much bigger cutbacks during the recession. Why can't the government do the same.?
