It appears yesterday's outbreak of spring was a temporary aberration.
We've spent the day delivering leaflets in Addiscombe, Shirley and Woodside and in Shirly we were joined by Dame Marion Roe, the former Conservative MP for Broxbourne. She has mastered the technique of delivering leaflets while holding a giant umbrella. Unfortunately, I haven't and as a result I got soaked. A big thank you to the people who took pity on me, pulled over and offered to display posters in their windows!
It appears my opponents are either averse to bad weather or don't have many people willing to help them - today we found leaflets from my Labour opponent Gerry Ryan being delivered inside a leaflet from the local pizza parlour and leaflets from Andrew Pelling being delivered with leaflets for a local blinds shop (bizarrely in Croydon South as well as in Croydon Central).
The weather forecast for tomorrow looks ok, thank goodness...
