Real anger with our Labour Council removing recycling facilities

Yesterday I was out campaigning in Cotelands in Park Hill and uncovered another example of our Labour council removing recycling facilities because people were fly-tipping by them.

Rather than catching the fly-tippers and punishing them, they are preventing people who want to recycle from being able to do so.

The example in Cotelands is even worse than the recent one in Ashburton Park because the residents there don’t have the blue and green boxes, so I’ve been talking to residents who have no way of recycling – all of their recycling is having to go into their wheelie bins away to landfill.

It really is about time our Council started hitting the people who are doing the fly-tipping instead of making it harder for residents to do what they want to do and recycle their waste.
