If you admire President Obama, you might be interested in what he had to say about David Cameron and his Government
President Obama may not be as popular in the US as he was back in 2008 (a fate that few political leaders can avoid, at least in their own country), but he’s still very popular in this country. I am struck when I visit schools and colleges how many young people in particular look up to him as a role model.
At the end of last week, David Cameron was in Washington DC for meetings with the President to discuss a number of issues of common concern. If you’re a fan of President Obama you might be interested in what he had to say about the PM and this Government’s economic record:
“David is a great friend. He’s one of my closest and most trusted partners in the world. On many of the most pressing challenges that we face, we see the world the same way…Great Britain is our indispensable partner and David has been personally an outstanding partner and I thank him for his friendship.
“On the economy, I would note that Great Britain and the United States are two economies that are standing out at a time when a lot of other countries are having problems, so we must be doing something right”.
